[Note: This page is back on the hobby track. Yay!]
Luckily, things took a turn for the more fun in early May. BLACKPINK announced a world tour earlier in the year, and I went on a mission to get tickets for it. While I didn’t succeed in the primary sale, I was able to get some on resale for a price I was willing to pay. I actually paid more for the Red Velvet show, if you can believe that. Anyway, no proper report was done for this either since it was on the tail end of my personal goings on described before. Let me tell ya though, a small show is definitely great, but there is something to be said for an arena show, too. Enjoy some video shot by yours truly.
I was honestly pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. It was definitely a spectacle. I’ll also note how this show definitely made me appreciate Lisa so much more. That girl is fine as hell in person, and I had a moment with her out on the catwalk where she looked right at me and it was a game changer. Anyway, yeah, it was another rock solid K-Pop experience. I was glad to have a second go at it so quickly.
And after that, life went on. I started to consider going to K-CON NY or TWICE’s world tour stop in Newark, New Jersey, but it didn’t work out for either. As of right now, I am considering returning to Japan for one last multi-week hurrah in March or April, or maybe just banking money for the time being and doing something later. And of course, I am keeping a more watchful eye online for any stateside concert opportunities. Come on Dreamcatcher!
